MINDMAX has created this privacy statement to demonstrate our commitment to customer privacy and the ethical use of email marketing communications and its application for business to consumer sales and marketing.
MINDMAX makes it easy for Academic Institutions and Associations to market and sell their online course content to students and working professionals.
Information Collection and Use
MINDMAX requires students who request information, and subsequently register for our client’s educational courses to provide contact information such as their name, address, phone number and e-mail address and later on their billing information such as billing name and address, and credit card number. MINDMAX typically asks for additional information when a potential student or site visitor requests information about our client’s educational courses. This information often includes School name, School City, and Graduation Year. Potential students and site visitors can choose to "opt out" of providing this additional information.
MINDMAX uses the collected information to conduct sales & marketing for our clients and their respective educational courses. Student information will not be shared or distributed.
MINDMAX students will be asked to provide an e-mail address when registering for an educational course. The email address is used to send notification of course sign-up and service and support information. Students can choose to opt out of receiving these notifications. Again, student information will not be shared or distributed.
Except as explicitly stated at the time MINDMAX requests information we do not disclose to any third party the information provided. All financial and billing information we collect is used solely to complete transactions for our client’s students when they enroll for our client’s educational courses. This billing information is not used by MINDMAX for marketing and/or promotional purposes. MINDMAX uses a third party for credit card processing. This intermediary is solely a link in the distribution chain, and is not permitted to store, retain, or use the information provided except for the sole purpose of credit card processing.
MINDMAX uses pixel tags and other methods to gather information about the e-mails we send to our registered users and recipients of e-mails sent by our registered users to others. Pixel tags are tiny graphic files that are included in our HTML-encoded e-mail messages. When such a message is opened in an HTML-capable e-mail program, the recipient's computer will access MINDMAX's servers to retrieve the pixel tag file, allowing MINDMAX to record and store information such as e-mail address, date and time the recipient viewed the e-mail message, if the recipient's e-mail program is capable of receiving HTML, and other logging information. MINDMAX uses this information to optimize delivery of future messages to specific recipients.
MINDMAX maintains log files tracking IP addresses to analyze trends, help diagnose problems
with our servers and to monitor traffic/usage in order to provide better service to our customers and visitors. IP addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information.
MINDMAX uses cookies to deliver content specific to students and site visitor’s interests and to improve the convenience and efficiency of visitor’s experience when viewing promotional information about our client’s educations courses. A cookie is a piece of text asking permission to be placed on a computer's hard drive. If the person agrees, then their browser adds the text in a small file. The purpose of a cookie is to verify a user's login status, help us analyze traffic or let us know when a person visits a particular online destination. Cookies allow applications to respond to you as an individual. By gathering and remembering information about your preferences, the application can tailor its operation to your needs, likes and dislikes.
Visitors can always choose to not accept cookies, but they may not be able to view some of the MINDMAX marketing materials. Visitors may set their web browser to notify them of cookie placement requests or decline cookies completely. They can delete the files that contains cookies; those files are stored as part of their Internet browser.
